To effectively combat human trafficking and modern-day slavery, Survivors’ Network operates on a multifaceted approach. We do not just respond to the crisis; we work to prevent it and ensure that those affected can build a thriving, independent future.
Rescuing modern-day slaves from exploitation. When a woman or child is trapped in a cycle of exploitation, immediate action is required. We collaborate with local authorities, international agencies, and community allies to safely extract victims from abusive environments. Our crisis intervention provides immediate physical safety, safe housing, emergency medical care, and the urgent psychological first-aid needed to transition survivors from victims to free individuals.
Conducting campaigns against human trafficking and modern-day slavery. Prevention is our strongest weapon. Traffickers often prey on the uninformed, using false promises of lucrative jobs abroad to lure vulnerable individuals. Through aggressive grassroots sensitization campaigns, radio broadcasts, and community workshops across rural and urban areas, we educate families on the warning signs of trafficking. By exposing the deceptive tactics of traffickers, we protect countless women and girls from ever falling into their traps.
Reintegrating survivors into their societies with dignity. Freedom is only the beginning of the journey. Without economic independence, survivors remain vulnerable to re-trafficking. We provide comprehensive reintegration programs that include deep trauma counseling, vocational skills training, and business management education. By providing seed funding and start-up kits, we empower survivors to launch their own small businesses, transforming them into self-sufficient, confident leaders within their communities.
We are mothers, sisters, daughters, community leaders, and advocates.
We are a passionate group of women from Cameroon, Ghana, and across Africa who seek to empower other women. Together, we stand united in the fight against human trafficking, modern-day slavery, and the exploitation of the vulnerable.
Founded in 2015 and officially registered in 2016, Survivors’ Network (SN), Cameroon, is a non-profit, apolitical organization made up of female survivors of human trafficking. We are driven by the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and a deep commitment to restoring dignity to those affected by modern-day slavery.
Our ultimate goal is to completely eliminate all forms of modern-day slavery against women. Because inequality is the root cause of exploitation, we also actively combat Gender-Based Violence (GBV) by fiercely advocating for equal opportunities for women, girls, and vulnerable populations.
We employ a proactive, hands-on methodology to eradicate trafficking and support survivors. Our objectives are built on four core pillars:
Survivors’ Network has been at the forefront of the fight against human trafficking and modern slavery, rescuing victims, empowering survivors, and advocating for justice. Through strategic interventions, financial assistance, awareness campaigns, and international collaborations, the organization has not only restored lives but also strengthened communities. Below is a chronicle of our remarkable efforts and achievements.
